Driver charged after being accused of watching TikTok videos before she killed pedestrian

A 20-year-old woman has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide after being accused of watching TikTok videos before striking and killing an 81-year-old pedestrian in Detroit Lakes last September, the Star Tribune is reporting.

The criminal charges allege that a law enforcement analysis showed she watched several videos before the crash, according to the Star Tribune.

The pedestrian, who also lived in Detroit Lakes, died about 45 minutes after being struck.

The woman’s defense attorney told the newspaper that he intended to defend his client against the accusations.
