About Tim
Tim is a storyteller. For the last 35 years, Tim has been connecting with clients, attorneys, judges and juries across Minnesota and Wisconsin advocating for his clients. Tim has a natural gift for storytelling which he honed as an English major at St. John’s University, graduating in 1986. He then attended William Mitchell College of Law, working during the day and attending classes at night, graduating cum laude in 1991.
After graduating from law school, Tim hit the ground running as a trial lawyer with a Minneapolis firm. Many trial lawyers can spend their entire careers without ever arguing a case before the supreme court. A month after becoming a lawyer, the first motion Tim ever argued was appealed to the Minnesota Supreme Court. Two months after joining the bar Tim was standing before a jury trying his first civil case. He has not slowed down since, litigating cases in trial and appellate courts across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Tim has tried over fifty jury trials, where he has used his storytelling skills to weave together complex information and facts into compelling stories to advocate for his clients. He is routinely selected by other trial lawyers as a Minnesota Law & Politics “Super Lawyer” and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a prestigious invitation only association recognizing and promoting trial lawyers.
Until 2025, Tim spent his career on the defense side of cases involving car, truck and motorcycle crashes, products liability injuries, sex abuse claims, professional malpractice and governmental torts. The greatest compliment Tim has been paid in his legal career has come from attorneys and parties he has opposed who then reach out to him the next time they need a trial lawyer. Several of those hard-fought battles were with the attorneys he now calls his partners.
Now at Storms Dworak, Tim brings his decades of experience on the defense side of civil cases to advocate for those who have been injured. Having spent more than three decades inside the defense playbook, he understands how cases are evaluated, how risk is assessed and how winning trial strategies are developed.
