About PAUL

Paul Dworak is the Managing Partner of Storms Dworak and a relentless advocate for individuals facing complex personal injury cases and high-stakes litigation. He has secured million-dollar recoveries in sexual assault, civil rights, product liability, and medical malpractice cases—including a recent $8 million workplace death settlement.

In 2016, Minnesota Lawyer named Paul “Attorney of the Year” for his work in a groundbreaking free speech case. He successfully defended a high school student who was unconstitutionally expelled for responding to a Twitter post about his gym teacher—a case that gained international attention.

Paul earned the honor again in 2020 for representing a family whose son was fatally shot by law enforcement. His efforts led to the largest settlement in a Minnesota Government Data Practices Act case. With two Attorney of the Year awards, he was inducted into the prestigious Circle of Excellence—a distinction achieved by only a select few before turning 40.

Paul has also delivered major courtroom victories, including securing both an acquittal and a large civil settlement for the same client in related cases. In this high-profile case, he defended a young man shot three times in the back by a police officer. To justify the shooting, the State charged Paul’s client with first-degree assault. Paul dismantled the prosecution’s case, winning a full acquittal and saving his client from a decade in prison. He then sued the officer for excessive force, securing a $2.85 million settlement.

A fierce advocate for survivors of sexual abuse, Paul holds schools, group homes, juvenile detention centers, spas, and other institutions accountable when they fail to protect customers or vulnerable individuals in their care. His work not only helps survivors seek justice but also drives systemic change to prevent future harm.

Paul graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he later served as an Adjunct Law Professor for the civil rights moot court program. He has received numerous awards for his legal writing.

Before law school, Paul was a financial analyst and a firefighter—an experience that honed his ability to think fast and stay calm under pressure, skills that now serve him well in the courtroom.
