About SUSAN

Susan Craig is a tenacious advocate who brings a unique perspective to medical malpractice litigation through her experience as both a physician and attorney.

Susan earned her M.D. from the UCLA School of Medicine and had a career as a practicing Family Medicine physician. She was a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Practice and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of California, Davis.

Susan later went back to school and earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. In her legal practice, she represents plaintiffs in medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home negligence, and birth injury cases, using her medical and legal experience to navigate complex cases and to fight for meaningful results on behalf of those who have been harmed. Super Lawyers has recognized Susan as a Rising Star.

Susan has secured million-dollar and multi-million-dollar jury awards for clients harmed by medical negligence, and many of her cases have resulted in substantial confidential settlements before trial. These results reflect Susan’s ability to identify the critical medical and legal issues in complex cases and develop litigation strategies designed to hold negligent healthcare providers and institutions accountable, and to bring justice to the patients and families who have been harmed.

Susan Craig is a compassionate and tenacious advocate for individuals and families harmed by medical negligence. As a former Family Medicine physician and one of Storms Dworak’s MD-JD attorneys, Susan brings a rare understanding of both medicine and law to complex medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home negligence, and birth injury cases. Her experience as a physician gives her unique insight into what should have happened medically, what went wrong, and how that harm has affected her clients and their families.

Susan earned her M.D. from UCLA School of Medicine and completed her Family Practice residency at the University of California Davis Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. Susan practiced Family Medicine for many years before going back to school to earn her J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. Today, she focuses her legal practice on representing plaintiffs in Minnesota who have been seriously harmed by physicians, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other medical facilities.

For Susan, medical malpractice cases are about more than medical records and legal arguments. She understands firsthand the trust that patients place in their healthcare providers and the profound impact that medical harm can have on an individual and an entire family. She works closely with her clients to understand what happened, explain the complicated medical and legal issues involved, and guide them through the litigation process. When healthcare providers fail in their duty to their patients, Susan fights to give her clients a voice and to pursue the justice and compensation that her clients deserve.

Paul Dworak was one of Susan’s professors at the University of Minnesota Law School. Susan is pleased to join her former professor as a colleague at Storms Dworak, where she works alongside a team of attorneys dedicated to helping people who have been seriously harmed by the negligence of others.
