High school senior killed in collision with dump truck

An 18-year-old was killed after the car she was driving collided with a dump truck in Crow Wing County, according to the Crow Wing Sheriff’s Department.

The driver, who family have identified as Keylah Kendrick, was a senior at Pine River-Backus High School, according to the Star Tribune.

Kendrick’s mother was also seriously hurt and airlifted to a hospital.

The driver of the dump truck “departed the scene with their employer,” the Crow Wing Sheriff’s Department said.
