One dead, another suffers life-threatening injuries in Eagan crash

A 19-year-old is dead and his 18-year-old passenger suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash in Eagan on June 14, according to the state patrol.

The patrol said the 19-year-old was driving a Jeep Compass while a 20-year-old was driving a Honda Accord southbound on Highway 149. They both crossed into the northbound lanes at the Highway 55 intersection. The Jeep struck a traffic light pole on the corner of an intersection; the Honda Accord driver landed in a ditch.
