A 22-year-old Rochester-area man has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide for allegedly using Snapchat while driving before colliding head-on with another vehicle in April 2021, according to multiple media reports.
The Rochester Post Bulletin reported that a state patrol investigation found that the driver crossed the center line, and that his phone also showed he was sending and receiving Snapchat messages minutes before the crash.
A passenger in the other vehicle, 58-year-old Christ Brown, was airlifted to a La Crosse, Wisc., hospital before succumbing to his injuries the next day, according to the Star Tribune.
