Two men who died scuba diving while working for companies that pull weeds from Minnesota lakes had never scuba dived before, never received certified dive training, and did not have equipment that might have saved their lives, according to a KARE 11 Investigation.
The investigation found that both Brady Aune, who was working for Dive Guys, and Joe Anderson, who was working for Your Lake Aquatic Plant Management, died on their first week on the job.
OSHA investigations resulted in a $128,450 fine for Dive Guys, and a $730,000 fine for Your Lake Aquatic Plant Management, according to KARE 11.
