A Richfield Middle School employee is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student, according to criminal charges filed in Hennepin County on Wednesday.
The criminal complaint alleges that the employee, who works as a paraprofessional, campus supervisor and coach, began sexually assaulting the girl about a month ago.
After police asked if his DNA would be found on her clothing, he allegedly admitted to twice having her perform oral sex on him, according to the charges.
The charges say that the girl told police that she performed oral sex on him numerous times over the last month.
According to KSTP, the school said in a statement to families that: “The safety, well-being, and trust of our students, staff and families are our highest priorities. We are committed to creating and maintaining a school environment where every student feels safe, respected and supported. If your child needs support processing this information, our school counselors and mental health staff are available and ready to help.”
