Police are investigating the death of an infant following what the Savage police department called a “medical incident” at a daycare, the department said in a press release.
The death occurred on Monday, Sept. 22, at the Rocking Horse Ranch Childcare facility, the department said. Savage police said the child was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
In its press release, the department urged families with children at the daycare to “closely monitor their children and seek immediate medical attention if they exhibit altered mental status, unusual behavioral changes, or other concerning symptoms.”
