St. Paul bar bouncer charged with manslaughter after allegedly punching and killing customer

A St. Paul bouncer faces first degree manslaughter charges after prosecutors allege he punched and killed a customer, KARE 11 is reporting.

Jose Eucario Conejo Marquez was working at the Blues Saloon in St. Paul during the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 5, when he followed two patrons who had been thrown out of the bar to a parking lot. According to the criminal charge, Marquez became frustrated with one of the patrons and punched him in the head.

The patron, identified in the criminal complaint as MAMA, fell to the ground. He was taken to Regions Hospital where he was diagnosed with a “devastating brain bleed,” according to the complaint.

He died the next day on Oct. 6.
