An Anoka County jail inmate died on Thursday, March 24 after he collapsed while being attended to by detention staff, according to the county sheriff’s office.
The death is being investigated by the Sherburne County Sheriff and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
Anoka County has not released any other information on the death.
This is at least the sixth death at the Anoka County jail since 2019, according to public records.
