A corrections officer at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston, Minn., is accused of sexually assaulting two female inmates, according to the Star Tribune.
Irving Emmanuel Jacobo Bravo, 49, of Red Lake Falls, Minn., was charged Monday with two felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The women told investigators that Bravo had been sexually assaulting them for a few weeks, often bringing them tobacco or candy and finding excuses to go into the cell that they shared, according to the charges, according to the Star Tribune, citing the criminal charges.
They reported the alleged assaults on Sept. 11, 2026, after Bravo brought medical request forms to their cell “to make it look like he had a reason to enter,” the charges say.
Sexual assault exams were conducted on each of the women and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension allegedly found that Bravo’s DNA was present on both exams.
