One woman is dead and another was seriously injured after they were struck by a vehicle while walking in the City of Rockford on Sunday afternoon, according to KSTP.
The two were struck by a juvenile girl who was driving with her mother, according to the news outlet, citing the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
When law enforcement arrived, they found one of the pedestrians stuck underneath the juvenile’s car. Though she was able to be freed, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other pedestrian suffered “significant” injuries to her legs and was brought to North Memorial Hospital.
