2 killed, 2 injured in Wright County crash

Two drivers were killed and two passengers were injured – including one with life-threatening injuries – after a head-on crash in Wright County on Saturday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The two vehicles collided on Highway 55 near County Road 33, the state patrol reported.

Shawn Aaron Slaven, 50, and 20-year-old Mindimore Monik Diggines were killed in the crash.

An 18-year-old in the car with Diggines was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The state patrol said it is so far unknown if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
