Driver dead, two seriously injured in Mille Lacs County crash

A 69-year-old driver is dead and two others were air-lifted to hospitals following a crash in Mille Lacs County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The driver was headed south on Highway 169 when he crossed the center line and hit a car driven by 79-year-old Excelsior man. He was airlifted to North Memorial hospital in Robbinsdale, while his 62-year-old passenger was flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
