A dump truck driver’s medical fitness behind the wheel is being investigated after the driver hit a motorist who was pulled over the side of a Lakeville road, the Star Tribune is reporting.
The driver who was killed, Gerard Paul Tuma, 68, of Lakeville, was legally pulled over on a dirt road where he was using his cellphone.
Police filed a search warrant affidavit asking the Dakota County District Court to allow investigators to collect all records related to Burma’s federal certification of medical fitness to drive a commercial vehicle, according to the Star Tribune.
