A former Maple Grove High School volleyball coach has been sentenced to 33 years in prison after sexually abusing players and other victims for the last ten years, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Dorian Christopher Barrs, 33, used social media to groom, sexually exploit, and abuse young, impressionable, and vulnerable girls for his sexual gratification, the Attorney’s Office said in a press release, citing court documents.
“To date, the government has identified at least 19 minor victims who Barrs victimized in his scheme, 14 of whom were being coached by Barrs,” according to the release. One of the victim’s was 14-years-old.
