Jackson County Ambulance charged with allegedly sexually assaulting subordinate

A supervisor with an ambulance provider in southwestern Minnesota has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a subordinate, KSTP is reporting.

A woman met with investigators earlier this month and said that she began working for the Jackson Ambulance Service in May 2025, where Elijah Uriel Camarillo, 28, was her direct supervisor.

She said that Camarillo invited her into his home in June 2025, where she reported consuming several glasses of wine and felt “goofy” from drinking, according to Alpha News, citing the criminal charges.

She told law enforcement that “things were spinning” and she could barely walk. She told investigators that Camarillo “flipped her onto the bed” multiple times and made unwanted advances and that she attempted to resist and leave, Alpha News reported.

The City of Jackson said in a Facebook post that two ambulance service employees were placed on administrative leave, one of whom later resigned.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department reported that Camarillo was arrested on February 14th, Camarillo was arrested in Beloit, Wisconsin.
