DHS indefinitely suspends daycare provider’s license after child’s meth exposure

The Minnesota Department of Human Services has indefinitely suspended the license of a South St. Paul daycare after an investigation determined that a child in the provider’s care was exposed to methamphetamine.

The daycare operator is a South St. Paul city council member who is also under law enforcement investigation, according to numerous news reports.

The child’s mother told KSTP that after she picked her 3-year-old son up from the daycare last December, he acted unusual and was unable to sit still. She took him to a hospital, where he tested positive for meth.
