A Minnesota teen is still fighting for his life a month after being hit by a state trooper following an accident, according to KARE 11.
Blayke Mostad was driving with his brother and a friend on April 9 when they were hit by a wrong-way driver in Clear Lake. None of them were injured in the crash. But a state trooper who was coming to check out the accident collided with the brothers as they were outside of their truck.
The state trooper was driving in the left lane on Highway 10 when he came upon the crash and was “unable to avoid a collision,” according to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the crash.
Blayke’s brother, Braxton, told KARE 11 he did not understand why the trooper could not have avoided the accident.
“Blake was in the left lane, I was in the left lane, like kind of in the shoulder, so I don’t know how he couldn’t have missed us,” Braxton said.
