Man charged after allegedly driving over 100 mph before deadly St. Paul crash

A 30-year-old St. Paul man has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide after allegedly driving drunk at a 100 mph before killing a man in a crash, according to KSTP.

Law enforcement at the scene in St. Paul found a Volvo XC90 lifted into the air with a large, “catastrophic” dent on the driver’s side, KSTP reported. The driver of the Volvo was extricated from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

When officers spoke to the driver, they said they could smell alcohol on his breath.

The complaint states law enforcement found nine empty beer cans inside the driver’s car.
