About Auria
Auria is a Law Clerk at Storms Dworak and a third-year student at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. As a first-generation college and law student, Auria’s path into the legal field has been deeply personal, sparked by early experiences with both the civil and criminal justice systems. Her journey is driven by a passion for justice and for making the law more accessible to individuals who lack connections or resources.
Auria began her legal career during her first year of law school, working at the Dakota County Attorney’s Office. There, she appeared in court daily and gained valuable experience arguing and drafting motions. She also worked closely on the office’s competency proceeding calendars, which was an experience that strengthened her compassion for individuals navigating mental health challenges within the legal system. In her second year of law school, Auria was selected to represent Mitchell Hamline School of Law in its inaugural appearance at the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., where argued before judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and finished as a quarterfinalist. After that, she was chosen to clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals under Judge Keala Ede, where she refined her legal research and writing skills and again witnessed the impact of trial-level decisions on appellate outcomes.
Before law school, Auria graduated early with Latin honors from Hamline University in 2022, earning a major in Legal Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. She competed on Hamline’s nationally recognized varsity mock trial team, traveling to tournaments in California, Texas, South Carolina, and Iowa. Her courtroom presence and skill earned her top individual awards at both Texas A&M and UC Berkeley. Outside of these competitions, she served as a student congress representative, mentored local youth through the Hand-in-Hand program at Hamline Elementary, and served as secretary for the school’s first-generation student organization—reflecting her ongoing commitment to service and equity.
In high school, she joined the mock trial team. In 2019, her team placed third at the Minnesota state competition in Duluth, and Auria was awarded “All-State Attorney.”
Now at Storms Dworak, Auria brings her experiences, drive, and empathy to every case she supports. She remains guided by the belief that the law should be just, compassionate, and accessible—especially for those who are too often overlooked.
