$95k Settlement in MPD Misconduct Case

The Star Tribune is reporting that the City of Minneapolis has reached a $95,000 settlement in a case involving police misconduct back in 2019. A disgraced MPD officer was found to be targeting people of color to search their vehicles for drugs for his own personal use. The lawsuit brought on by Ramone Brown accused the officer of violating his civil rights, assault, battery, and unlawful imprisonment. The settlement was reached and voted for unanimously.
