Former charter school teacher files to plead guilty to sex assault

A former math teacher at the Hmong College Preparatory Academy in St. Paul intends to plead guilty to sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student, according to Fox 9.

Fox 9 reports that the teacher will file a petition admitting that he only that he “touched the breast” of the 16-year-old student and that it “occurred within 120 days of employment” at the school.

An investigation by Fox 9 found that The school also did not report Bunney to the state’s teaching board (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board also known as PELSB).
